Hey all! You know that I live in Argentina and there are a lot of great bands that I like which never visited us. Foo Fighters is one of them.. I just saw then in dvds. who saw them live? What can you tell me? I saw them in '96 at a big festival show (same show I met my wife at) after their first album came out. Dave's actually from the DC metro area. Mentioned it onstage that day that he'd always wanted to play a stadium show at RFK stadium and he was finally able to do it. He's part owner of a club in DC called the Black Cat and pops in there from time to time....I haven't been there since our car was broken into across the street while we were watching a band thouhg. At the time, I wasn't really that impressed with the Foo Fighters. Nirvana was still fresh in the mind, so the Foo Fighters seemed really tame in comparison and didn't like the album much. They were much more energetic live though. Dave was Just like Dave except with a guitar he can move around more. The rest of the band sounded good...they played their set a bit faster and harder than the album. Wasn't a huge set because of the festival schedule, but it was pretty good...they even played Down in the Park. Not sure what they were playing at the time...wasn't paying that kind of attention. I think Dave was playing an SG at the time. -------------------- Guitars: ESP Semi-Hollow Eclipse, 1984 Ibanez Roadstar RS440, Peavey T-60, Daisy Rock Rock Candy Custom
Amps: Peavey Transformer 112, Epiphone Valve Jr head with custom 2x12 cab Pedals: Boss TU-2, Budda Bud-Wah, Chuck Collins Harmonic Percolator clone |

I think that they became better after every album and their new one is awesome. I would like to hear other experiences... -------------------- |

I've seen them 6 times and they are up there in my top 5 concerts. I've been to 302 concerts including seeing Led Zeppelin and my fav gigs include Pearl Jam, Pixies and Foo Fighters. You wont find many funnier than Dave Grohl and they are a very solid band. I saw them first in 97 on the Colour And The Shape tour I think it was. You need to make sure you see them as they are awesome. I remember Everlong now

I recently saw the Foo Fighters Live.
Amazing Show. Dave Grohl is not only a great musician but a even greater performer and on top of that hes really really funny saying things like Dave:" Lets hear how many guys out there love me !" Then all these guys cheer He goes" Ok well were staying at the Holiday Inn across the street, room 7 see you there." The band itself is awesome. They did everything from Drum Solos, Guitar Battles, Triangle Solos, Piano Solos and Violin Solos at the show I was at . Outstanding Show I would have payed double the amount -------------------- Join Me On the Lyrics Board !
