I'll keep this short since i can only type with my left hand. I was snowboarding today, fell, and landed on my thumb. It was quite painful but alright so i just carried on. I fell on it again not as badly but it was more painful cos it was already injured. About ten minutes later i put an ice pack on it, and after ten minutes with the ice pack i went back outside and snowboarded again for bout an hour. I didn't have too much trouble cos i didn't fall on it again but it was still painful. Now im back i realise its very swollen all the way down, and i can't bend it at the joint in the middle. I'm wondering since i cant bend it (even with my other hand) if it might be fractured. I dont want to spend ages at hospital getting x-rays if its not broken so i just wondered if anyone else has had this injury and if it isn't something to go to hospital for is there anything i should do to make it heal quicker (since i cant play guitar cos of it). Also since im in the middle of a 2hr a day 4 day snowboarding course should i go to the next 2 days. I would really like to but i dont know if it might cause a lot of damage or anything. Anyway advice bout this would be very useful.

It's probably just badly strained. If there is a doctor around or health and safety point go there and get a quick appraisal but otherwise it should be ok for 2 days.

Ok thanks. I'll just try and rest it. Glad its not broken. I'm not saying it's definitely not broken. Rest it tonight and bandage it up and it should hurt less tomorrow. Just be careful not to land on it. -------------------- Gear Guitars:- Caparison Horus Snowcloud, Parker Nitefly M, Parker Nitefly SA, Gibson SG, Parker P10e, 40 Year Old Spanish Acoustic Amps:- Framus Ruby Riot 2x12" stack |
