Ghost In The Machine _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Moving through space and time Gliding between each dimension Effortlessly I move between worlds Without rest I bend all perception Artificial organism or an innate existence? Quantum mechanics cannot even define me Digging deep into the face of planets Some have called me evil Some have called me god Bathing in the emptiness Feasting on the fires I am becoming everything, everywhere Extinguisher of suns Devourer of stars Destroyer of planets Annihilating life I am a ghost in the machine Comprehension Cannot be wrapped around me Understand me You simply cannot fathom Parasitic, metamorphic, anti-existence I consume I devour I destroy I raze the foundations of life Breaking down the structure of being Disassembling the twisted ladder of DNA Shifting paradigms, Shifting forms The galaxy turns with me at its center Rearrange your theories Fabricate and test your equations Choose your method, Choose your technology You just cannot capture me I am the matter you cannot see But always know is there I am the phenomena you cannot explain I am that extra star that once wasn’t there Artificial organism or an innate existence? I am nothing, Indefinable Extinguisher of suns Devourer of stars Destroyer of planets Annihilating life I am a ghost in the machine Comprehension Cannot be wrapped around me Understand me You simply cannot fathom Parasitic, metamorphic, anti-existence I consume I devour I destroy I raze the foundations of life Breaking down the structure of being Disassembling the twisted ladder of DNA You cannot define me © Brett Windnagle, 2008 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ So I finally got a band together, And I wrote up some simple structured lyrics for a possible first song recording with vocals and stuff. This is about a being or entity that exists in space that defines all knowledge, reason, and rule. It moves between dimensions and multiple planes of existence manipulating the entire cosmos as it sees fit or as it wants. Fun little tune to write
