Hi Muris,
I'm a new member at GMC and I've been enoying your playing & lessons very much! I was wondering if I could get your help with something. I've been playing for many years, and I practice a lot, but it still takes me quite a bit of time to get the flexibility and control I like to feel in my wrist & fingers, especially in my right (picking) hand. And even at that point, my control isn't where I'd like it to be - I struggle with sweeps and fast position changes. Are there any exercises that you do, or that you'd recommend that might help? Thanks very much. - r |

First of all welcome to GMC,
that wa a good move to join our community. Picking hand is usually top issue for many players and so I have done few lessons on that matters, including alternate and sweep picking. Here are some of them: This, this, this, this or this. Now,original tempo is not main subject here, go for slower backing if that fits your current ability but try to play clean and accurate as possible. I'll be here if you need any further help with this lessons or with something else. Have fun practicing. -------------------- Youtube

And I'll definitely practice those lessons. But it's sooo hard to play slowly - the fingers are just dying to move to the original tempo. Take care, Rich |

That's really natural,to go for original tempo
and just like you've said, our fingers usually aren't listening. But as long as you keep your playing clean than it's fine, no matter at which tempo you're at! -------------------- Youtube
