dont get me wrong, i used to love metallica, but the ST anger came out, and after reload and all that other crap, well, i just pretend they broke up after the black album!
Edit: i WILL listen to the new album, and i WILL give it a chance, but im not expecting much.

I just discovered Metallica about a year ago so I didn't much care, or I wasn't alive for all their newly released albums. So I kinda got all their stuff in a short period of time, but I love the load and reload stuff. There are some quality riffs throughout those two albums, regardless of whether people thought they sold out or not.

I agree. I wasn't around for anything pre black album, though they are my favorite albums, but I love the riffing in load and a few in reload too. Good stuff. St Anger not so much.
