It is not only his speed what amazed me, he puts a lot of expression in to his playing, there is a lot of dynamics, he can have an aggressive pick attack or a soft one, he will create great licks with great phrasing. Other shredders can be blazing fast, but to me Paul Gilbert is the best shredder because of the expression and feeling he puts into playing the guitar.
