Cool idea, I have never done this, it looks like he is playing some legato but at the same time using his right hand finger to create some harmonics in between, Muris is not of this planet. Lets wait for his own explanation

hehe it's a cheapest Satriani lick but sounds cool. Just slightly mute strings with the right hand (about 12 frets away from what you're playing) and play anything with the left hand. You'll get some creative noise:)
