Cool idea, I have never done this, it looks like he is playing some legato but at the same time using his right hand finger to create some harmonics in between, Muris is not of this planet. Lets wait for his own explanation

I actually asked Muris this on youtube in one of his videos - I never got an answer though
  I think he might have explained it before though... I seem to remember an answer here on GMC clearing it up.

hehe it's a cheapest Satriani lick but sounds cool. Just slightly mute strings with the right hand (about 12 frets away from what you're playing) and play anything with the left hand. You'll get some creative noise:)
