Hey there,
This is my first Collaboration & this is the first classical guitar Collaboration in GMC. I want to start with a famouse tune so I chose Romance. There are two lessons in GMC done by Kosei Kubota. http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...romance-lesson/ http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...omance-lesson2/ The original version does not have variations. But later many people had done variations on it. Here is a great one By Emmanuel Rossfelder http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CpXlvxstYw We are not going to imitate anyone. But you can get some ideas and create your own variations. (tremolo style,Ragtime style,Bossa style or anything interesting) You can participate by two means. 1.You can create your own variation (around 100 bpm) or 2.You can create small parts over the original tune so that we'll have a nice duet part. (for duet parts use the backing track I have provided.) (If we have got enough duets you can also participate by just playing the original tune) I haven't decided how many members should participate in this and I am not in a hurry. So feel free to sign in this collab.Closing date for sign in is september 30th. If you can't record classical guitar yourself you can Just create a midi track or tab or notation of it. I will play it for you. If you come acroos with an interesting composition for electric guitar let me know although Compositions for the classical guitar are accepted. Instructors are also welcome!

The scale's Em, right?
Are we doing a copy of this or can I just make a solo over it? This post has been edited by kjutte: Aug 31 2008, 07:04 PM -------------------- Eatsleepjam:
Nice Lesson! You said something about how it can be overused, what do you exactly mean by that ? Any tips to not overuse it ? -John Andrew Cockburn: Yes ... play it less often. ________________________________________________________________________________ Guitars: Ibanez 2570Z, Ibanez RG470 (I think?), an Ephiphone Les Paul, a Dean Baby V, and some random acoustic guitar. Meh.. My computer isn't working anymore..
I'll bring home some new components tomorrow from work and try to fix it, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to record something before saturday Is this ok? If not I'm sorry.. It won't even start that darned thing edit: I could try to record something with the microphone in my laptop, but it wouldn't be particularly nice..
