hey guys,
just want to know if some of you have the same problem..
unfortunately i sweat a lot while playing dry.gif which is really disgusting because the fretboard just feels bad.
have you got any ideas to solve this problem? i got a salve "hydro fugal" but it doesnt really help a lot..
isnt there any good solution in modern medicine? sad.gif

cheers

Here's my buddy!! laugh.gif

I have the same problem, not only when playing
but when playing it gets over limits.
There are some medicines I guess,as well as natural stuff like tea.
Truth is,I never tried any of them but now when you brought this in,
I might do some googling. smile.gif

hey muris,
yeah it really gets on my nerve because when the sweat dries (theres also some skinparticles..etc) then it accumulates on the frets and they are really hard to clean without removing the strings...

There is only one thing you can do at this point,
always clean both strings and fretboard everytime you're done with playing/practicing,
dry cloth works fine for me.
And then do better cleaning of fretboard when changing string,
toothpick is great for region around frets and it won't ruin the fretboard. smile.gif

Same problem here.
My hands also sweat not only while playing, basically they sweat all the time, when playing they sweat more, when doing nothing they sweat less, but they still sweat.

So you are sweating only on your palms ?
If that problem gets over the limit , there is a procedure in medical center where you can get some kind of botox injected in the sweating area and it stops sweating completely for about a year...Its not so radical as it seems and really gets the job done..But it costs sad.gif

Yeah that's the best solution! I would go with the botox method only if it really bothers you all around not just when playing guitar..

How is sweating while playing a bad thing? When I sweat from playing guitar then I know I am doing it hard and as best as I can. There is no better proof for the passion of guitarplaying then sweating from the excitement!

Well sweating can be a bad thing if your overdoing it (uncontrollably) and if it doesn't matter how hard you play you sweat like crazy smile.gif
It can be annoying smile.gif

I sweat a lot only on stage, but that never annoys me, it keeps me cool. Just look at the SRV for example the guy poured water from him, and he didn't really care.

As for guitar maintenance, if your hands sweat a lot during practice, always wipe the guitar before and after practicing, and it should be fine.
