I don't know how, but for some reason my b and e-string sound really weird when I attempt this. It sounds out of tuning and as if there are two seperate sounds coming from the string...
Does anyone know how to solve that? -------------------- Wishlist: the world.

wut do you mean by two seperate sounds coming out? Do you mean when you push the string down and then lift your finger up?because sometimes when you push down, that is the note you get, but when u lift up after, you get the note being held. please explain further.

You are getting 2 notes because you're playing on acoustic
or on un-plugged electric. The 2nd note you're getting is the one from the left side of your fretting hand, between fretting hand and nut actually. Try muting strings near nut or plug your guitar into an amp, you you'll hear only the note between your fretting hand and bridge.
