Looks like Guitar World and Guitar Center have teamed up to promote another contest. Thought I would post in case some of our shredders here missed it.

Runs through Oct. 31 and is based on a voting system. Looks like alot of other cool prizes also.... cool.gif

Very cool. I might go for this one but maybe I am late. Many people have to many votes already.

I am thinking what to play. Maybe I would submit one of my lessons but I don't think I am allowed. Maybe I'll need to come up with sometihng else.

I've seen these guys with the most votes. I wasn't very impressed so I think that someone from GMC has a great chance of wining. It looks like all friends and family are voting for those guys already on the site. Their parrents, uncles and male relatives must have done a great job if one of those kids that knows 3 scales has over 300 votes by now smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif By saying "great job" I don't mean they voted smile.gif I am kidding of course but you got my point.

Yes, the leading guy is just playing a lot of licks that don't fit together, so if you make something like the lessons you've done this wouldn't be too hard smile.gif

You need to push the boundaries from time to time and sacrifice some accuracy, your fingers and brain need to get used to you moving faster, you must always come back to comfortable speeds to improve accuracy of course but if you dont push the boundaries you`ll always be stuck there. -Smells

I am away from a guitar right now, I already have an idea on what to do. I need to sit down with the guitar and see if I actually can do it.

10000 is a nice money, and little job is needed. If I knew to shred well I would definitely apply. wink.gif

Wow, that dude with 404 votes....ughhhh. He must have lots of friends. As seen with the Dean Shredder contest, most are just playing one technique after the other as fast as they can. rolleyes.gif

Well I think you guys Emir , David, Jose and any GMC instructor should enter definitely because you really stand a chance at wining since you are best of the best!! Also I'm pretty sure some judging/overlooking will take part from organizers (in order not to award the weak contestant for just having loads of friends!).Good luck!!

I agree Superize. I did enjoy this guy though...His classical style was great I thought.
