Guys, we really need a lesson in the style of Richie Sambora. I've practised a couple of his solos and it has added SO much to my playing lately. I really think that this guy is being underestimated. I see so many lessons of Slash/Steve Vai/etc, but no Richie Sambora, while in my opinion he's the definition of rock guitarist.

Are there any instructors that feel the calling?

Oh and if there's not gonna be a lesson on him, I really recommend listening to his solos and try to play along with them. You won't regret it smile.gif

I've been learning Wanted Dead or Alive the last couple of days and it actually got me into looking into some of his other stuff. I think he is underestimated as a guitarist and a lesson would be nice!

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Great guitarist, I wasn't a big fan of Bon Jovi, but when I was in a band as a kid and wanted to play Metallica, my bandmates agreed only if I played Bon Jovi, so I had to learn a few songs, and then I notices the guitar work, very cool stuff.

Now I am trying to think what were his signature licks, or signature sound, so that I can create a In the style of Ritchie Sambora lesson, because he changed his style a little as he evolved musically he was more into shred in the earlier Bon Jovi albums.
