Hello, here is the bt for an upcoming lesson that will be called "Diminished Bossa", the name is because there are a lot of diminished chords in the harmony and because part B is missing. (This is what I written for a test when I was in the university and the theacher show me some use for diminish chords, unfortunately the second page is missing so I can't figure out what art B was).
Here is the deal, the upcoming lesson will be specially for beginers, and it is about the original melody which will be played three times showing GMCers some diferent ways to expose your main melodies in standarts), I will left the solo parts to you!. So here is the bt, this bt has two choruses, and the drums change the feel in the second one, you can make a solo of two chorus, or chose only one. If you want to take out the guitar or the bass, the rythm guitar is panned to the left and bass to the right, if you make this kind of mod please upload the modified bt please. The bpm is 120 and the time signature is 4/4 but the feel is 2/2 at 60 bpm, please upload a version with bt and solo and a version of only solo, and please if posible put your complete nick in the name of the archive so I can know who is who when IŽll grab and mix the whole bunch. Another important think!!! If you want you can upload a vid of you playing your solo and get participation in the main vid of the lesson. This last feature will require previous authorization from Kris anyway. The dead line to subscribe is Sunday 16-Monday 17. You have a whole week only to subscribe, after that I will open a new thread for uploads. Have fun. Here are the chords. BT 120 bpm 4/4 | C | Cdim | Dm7/9 | Ddim | | C/E | Ebdim | Dm7 | Db7 | | C | C7 | Fmaj7 | Fm6 | | C | G7b13 | C | G7 | This post has been edited by Gerardo Siere: Nov 10 2008, 01:38 AM

Cool backing track.
I'll like to give it a go. Not done a jazz collab so can some one reccommend what scale I should use or should I just nooodle away on the fretboard and see if something falls out? -------------------- "I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order." Eric Morecambe

You can try Cmajor scale and then adding the correspondal accidentals for the arpegio of each chord. -------------------- Check out my video lessons!

For those who upload a video version of the solo, they will have a granted place in the lesson at the end as a bonus vid. Tomorrow I will upload a new version of the bt with cooler sounds for all instruments. The bpm and harmony will be the same. -------------------- Check out my video lessons!

Hi,
had some time today and wont have time in the next couple of weeks. So here is my track. Mostly improvised so it contains some sloppy notes but as I said I don't have time in the weeks to come. I hope you accept it like it is. I didn't use any effects. I guess you will do that if necessary.

Very nice backing and collab, Gerardo. I am not completely sure I'll get something down on this, as I can't really seem to come up with a general flow or idea to playing or soloing over this, but I'll probably see if I can't give it a go anyways!
