Please do, but I may ask for the bass and or guitar separately as well. You may also be asked to do bass over other people takes. Doing bass will help so much, thanks. Bass is fine by me as I'm a bass player rather than a guitarist anyway so I'm happy to do bass to all peoples riffage as well as my own -------------------- Gear Guitars:- Caparison Horus Snowcloud, Parker Nitefly M, Parker Nitefly SA, Gibson SG, Parker P10e, 40 Year Old Spanish Acoustic Amps:- Framus Ruby Riot 2x12" stack |

Ok... originals. Should be fun. Maybe a Hard rock track? I'd be happy to do anything though! Yes, all is welcome in this beginning stage. Minds and ideas are all open. I also feel that simplicity is the key in this beginner band format. Bass is fine by me as I'm a bass player rather than a guitarist anyway so I'm happy to do bass to all peoples riffage as well as my own COOL, knowing bass is covered is very helpfull already. A bass solo may even be in the longer term -------------------- - leedbreak

Well if you post some backings then I will get some ideas recorded over the week and then we can all decide on which riffs and ideas we really like and which ones fit together in a similar style and try and create a song with them all.

I'm really glad you choose to make an original
I'm pretty sure that if everyone will post some ideas, we'll choose something and then we can start filling it up. That is so cool ahh.... how about some name? -------------------- |

Here you go. I find writing to this drum beat very easy to do. I hope you all do to. If you have any problems let me know.
The beat is the same in all just the speed is different. They are about 30 sec each, but your ideas must not be this long. Do not worry about starting when the track starts but keeping it in time is what we are after. Remember we are tossing ideas for this first week or so. Sweet Picking, crunch rhythms and cool riffs are all needed to start with. If someone post a very cool rhythm and some one else post a very cool picking part one may have to re-record at a different tempo but we will get to that later. Please post chord progression and maybe even tabs if you would like. Few chords in a progression played no more a couple times is all we need right now. No fancy changes or fills just yet. Get out your creativity hat a have fun. Remember if you play in a certain key please state it.

I have an idea of a riff that I will record tonight. I just hope it fits the drums as I haven't been able to listen along yet just jam on some riffs on a guitar. I will post tonight

ok, please clarify it for me:
you want just ideas, few bars for every rythm I come up with - and every of them recorded as a solo take, too - right? -------------------- |

As he said. We don't need a ton of them but a couple or three that you really like should get us started. haha. Yeah, no notebook full of riffs uploaded of course. Would it help if I uploaded a tab of the riffs I record also on bass and guitar in guitar pro format? I have an idea of a riff that I will record tonight. I just hope it fits the drums as I haven't been able to listen along yet just jam on some riffs on a guitar. I will post tonight Can't wait to hear it. If you have trouble getting something to fit the drums we can work something out NP. If you or someone chooses to use a different drum pattern he will need to upload the drums alone as well. That way we still have the tempo keeper for all others to play over if we decide to use your riff / rhythm. Thanks all haha. Yeah, no notebook full of riffs uploaded of course. Would it help if I uploaded a tab of the riffs I record also on bass and guitar in guitar pro format? Tabs and chord progression are always a big help. -------------------- - leedbreak

Do you prefer uploading in the next week, when we have all of our ideas, or one after another?....
I'm asking 'cause I've recorded two ideas already - and I'm sure I'll find something other -------------------- |

OK, here it goes... first two riffs.
Both of them are made in two versions - second version is with an additional harmony guitar, we can use one of them or both versions Samples are a bit longer, so one could actually hear them before they end Both of them are played @ 120bpm, and recorded that way we can loop them (although in a final work of course they need to be played normally...) riff 1 sample

hey. Sorry I thought this was going to turn out good but I don't even know whether to record. And ignore the end of track 2. If you like I will record tomorrow. The ending pinch harmonics sound rubbish and isn't like I play it.
