Every night after i finish with my practice, i like to keep my metal riffing up to par so i make up some kinda
riff with different galloping patterns and chords that sound good to me.. heres what i did tonight, its a simple
riff, but with the metronome its good practice for your timing and picking.. I started to make some other ones,
but i think im going to turn those into songs

heres what i did tonight, its simple but it keeps your picking practice up

ohh yeah the metronome is at 108 bpm if you wanna practice it, and i slowed it down to show the picking pattern for this one

I think you need to clean it up, more muting and less distortion for a good gallop technique, so it is more percussive.

Here are two example of what to strive for:

you just gave me an idea, remaking the bonanza theme to sound metal

unfortunately it sounds different on youtube then it sounds here.. youtube tends to make my guitar sound
like it has more treble than it does

That is a good idea. I put in a better Lone Ranger clip, some guy has the first few episodes from 1949, I put #2 in because the music is not broken up.

Using themes is a good idea I think. I have about a half dozen I have worked on, or plan to. You can have Bonanza. I think that is actually a nice tune, I bet you can do something with it.

I await it with interest. It really is a catchy tune, a lot of times people have taken tunes like that, and converted them to maybe metal, punk, or something, and they really are great. Creative stuff.

Don't pass up on the first two episode of the Lone Ranger. You get to find out why he wears a mask, how he met Tanto, and his horse Silver, and why Tanto calls him "Kimo Sabe". Pretty exciting stuff.

edit: here is episode 1. You also get to find out why he shoot silver bullets, and where he gets the silver. The thrills and chills never end.

if you ever see the original Bonanza episode, you find out that that his three sons had different mothers, and Little Joe's ma was a New Orleans hooker.
