Every night after i finish with my practice, i like to keep my metal riffing up to par so i make up some kinda riff with different galloping patterns and chords that sound good to me.. heres what i did tonight, its a simple riff, but with the metronome its good practice for your timing and picking.. I started to make some other ones, but i think im going to turn those into songs heres what i did tonight, its simple but it keeps your picking practice up ohh yeah the metronome is at 108 bpm if you wanna practice it, and i slowed it down to show the picking pattern for this one I think you need to clean it up, more muting and less distortion for a good gallop technique, so it is more percussive. Here are two example of what to strive for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjdRgBAY278 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIOVfsQY8CE...feature=related This post has been edited by fkalich: Mar 19 2009, 06:19 AM |

ive already started working on bonanza metal style.. I await it with interest. It really is a catchy tune, a lot of times people have taken tunes like that, and converted them to maybe metal, punk, or something, and they really are great. Creative stuff. Don't pass up on the first two episode of the Lone Ranger. You get to find out why he wears a mask, how he met Tanto, and his horse Silver, and why Tanto calls him "Kimo Sabe". Pretty exciting stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Orhc5bk1sqU edit: here is episode 1. You also get to find out why he shoot silver bullets, and where he gets the silver. The thrills and chills never end. if you ever see the original Bonanza episode, you find out that that his three sons had different mothers, and Little Joe's ma was a New Orleans hooker.
