Hi all cool.gif

I've been thinking lately about putting together a list (with your help!), containing the most important guitarists of all time, and see if we can slowly incorporate all of them into our wiki. As I didn't know where to start (there are zillions laugh.gif), I took Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists of all Time list. Granted this is a subjective & far from perfect list. There are MANY important guitarists missing. But it's a start smile.gif

I took the time to check how many of them were already in our wiki and added the link.

So, what can we do now?

  • Add new names to the list! If you notice your favourite axe swinger is not in there, post in this thread and I'll have it added.

  • Take a few minutes and write an entry in our wiki!, everyone is invited, all GMC members have full editing access to the wiki, and we are eager to see your entries. It's piece of cake!. I'll add the link next to their name when done.

I would say that Marty Friedman (of Megadeth, and solo) and persons like Jan Akkerman (of Focus) should be added to the list as well.

Does it need to be an whole page of info about the guitarists or will it do with just some basic information about them?

Whatever you wish to write!, a short entry is better than no entry cool.gif, someone can always build on it later.
