Hey man! I'm not sure I understand exactly what are you trying to say. Could you rephrase please? Thanks OK you got only one video marked with # 4 in your Little Jazz Workshop Lesson 3 - Solo .I was asking you how you mute the G-D stings and play the E note on the 5th frat on the B sting at the same time. So you got 2 death stings and on note at the same time. Enough info now can you figure out what i'm taking about? |

The problem there is with the muting nothing else man. You should mute the strings above with your picking hand, just rest the palm for a second on the D and G strings and go over them with a pick. That should create that raking effect.
Ask if you need anything else, I will be glad to help. Cheers -------------------- Check out my Lessons and Instructor board

Feel free to mute the strings with your fretting hand if the fingering (situation) allows it. I just gave an example, it is not a strict rule to use picking hand palm. Do whatever you see it produces the best results and result should be - notes without any additional noise.
Cheers man, let me know how it went. -------------------- Check out my Lessons and Instructor board
