All right, I'm not going to get this one any tighter at my current level. Might as well face the critique at current level and stop trying to force it to be better (still kinda proud of it anyway).
This was really a stretch for me, and thus it was a TON of fun and learning. I'm sure you'll be able to tell from listening (especially without backing) but I've never been able to, or tried often, to jump into and back out of tapping lick before. Ever. In twenty-some years. So:

Im so sorry I dont have a upload without a backing, I am having so much difficulty with reaper. I thought I would post my take anyway though. I'm having a problem with your take. The backing track is quite loud and I need only your take for the mix. If you can, try to record it but without the backing, just your guitar. If you can't, I'll try to solve the problem, but it will be excelent if you can upload your take without the backing track -------------------- Check out my lessons!

I just deleted my take the other day after I posted it so I dont even have it anymore.
I wasnt trying to on purpose but it was in my Windows Media Player Library and I just wanted to get it out of there. You really dont have to use my take if you dont want to , It is totally cool I just thought since I at least tryed to play something, I was going to upload it regardless of my recording situation. Edit: Seeing that my take was rather simple, I could probley upload just the guitar and figure out what I played when I get home. The tone might be slightly different though, Is that ok ? Here's my take for this collab.
I took a "simple" approach to this, trying on a melodic approach I'm no shredder, and I've always been more fond of slower and more melodic solos. So hopefully I managed to get the right vibe in my take With Backing:

Thanks guys!. I'll wait a bit more so the other guys have some more time to upload their takes. So, you'll have to wait a bit more for the final mix and comments. But don't worry, it will be worth

Here we go! My view: Happy with the start, not happy with middle, quite happe with tapping. Dont think i have a good progression, but it is only my second solo. Just could't make an awesome harmony. :/

here we go, sorry for the delay!
oh and if you are wondering why i did the solo in so many tracks instead as one, was because i really like the sound of a guitar switching solo, even though the tone is the same, the essence is there This post has been edited by Marc_Maiden: Jun 25 2009, 01:32 AM
