Here's the original lesson. http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...romance-lesson/
I used a nylon string guitar recorded by a cheap headset mic. I know the barre on the 7th fret wasn't very good, but I couldn't see that it was going to get better with the action as high as it was. I'd welcome any tips on how to improve it though. Matt Edit: I know my sound is bad, but I thought that the sound was meant to be graded as how well you do with the equipment you have. Would you be able to tell me how I could get it to sound better with the equipment I have? Btw this isn't an attack at your grading, I'd just like to know how to improve my sound quality for future recs. This post has been edited by skennington: Jul 23 2009, 02:17 PM |

Rhythm placement - 4
Cleanness - 4 Feel - 4.5 Posture - 3.5 Sound - 3.5 You should get more gain from your signal, in some way - I don't know if you can use some kind of mixer. About the posture: I think your left leg is too much angled to your right side and your left thumb should be behind the neck all the time... My old classical guitar teacher would have said this -------------------- Main Gear Guitars: Washburn N4 Vintage | Washburn N2 | Washburn WI67Pro | Washburn EA20B Amps: Laney GH50L (head) | Laney GS410 (cabinet) | Marshall VS230 (combo) FXs: Rocktron Intellifex + custom pedalboard (check my video demo) Strings: D'Addario Software & Recording Gear: Cubase 4 | Mackie Onyx 400F | EZdrummer | Korg Pandora PX4D ------------------------------------------------------- myspace.com/jerryarcidiacono Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |

Rhythm placement 4.1
Cleanness 4.3 Feel 4.5 Posture 4.3 Sound 4 Your posture is 10 times better now than in the other acoustic lessons. Jerry was right when he said about your thumb and the leg. Just fix that and you'll be fine there. The sound can be improved in some audio software. Even some video editing programs have plugins for fixing audio. I don't know what you are using for your recordings. Find anything where you can make some EQ, and reverb. Then you synchronise that edited audio signal with the video and export that new fresh video file with all those improvements. Your audio is losing sync again like in almost every of your clips. It's either your camera or some bad software you're using for video editing and you lose video frames. Sounds like it jumps from nowhere like scratched vinyl record. Other than that everything is pretty much ok. I like your take. You're really talented and hard working guy. Keep practicing and you'll get there soon. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
