Dynamics Of Playing, Lesson by Ivan Zecic |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

This was an interesting lick when Ivan first posted on GMC and really wanted to try. Very different from those fast licks and sweeps I have been trying. I have been practicing 2 other (pre advanced) lessons and not yet getting there. So, wanted to try this bit. It was quite hard to grasp at first, never played like this (at least not the bends). I have messed up in about 2 places and vibratos still need work. This is a 2 day practice thing but I couldn't wait to post. Thanks for your reviews masters!! Audio: Ibanez JEM Jr -> Mbox 2 Pro -> Macbook Pro (late 2008) -> GR3 Demo ( Plex -> Vintage Lead ) -> Pro Tools Video: Canon HV30 -> PF24 -> Final Cut Pro (not enough light in here so had to brighten up a bit) Hope you like it. Rhythm placement: 4.8
Cleanness: 5 Feel: 4.7 Posture: 4.9 Sound: 4.3 Very well done. You bends have to be cut when you reach the top of the bend. Don't bend back with the short bends. The sound is too bassy. Maybe because of your pickup position. Anyway this take is really cool. Well done -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Rythm Placement: 4.8
Cleanness: 4.5 Feel: 5 Posture: 5 Sound: 4 You should work a lil more on the bendings as Emir said. But, still a good take. There are some notes that doesn't ends to be clearly, but I assume that is because of the bassy sound. Very nice take This post has been edited by Santiago Diaz Garces: Aug 11 2009, 10:59 PM -------------------- Check out my lessons!

Rhythm placement: 4.8
Cleanness: 5 Feel: 4.8 Posture: 5 Sound: 4.5 Tone could have some extra trebs indeed to get more dynamics tho I like how it sounds. More attention on bends as Emir said, good work. -------------------- Youtube
