John Frusciante Style Lesson
Equipment: Schecter C-1 Plus Pod X3 Hopefully my first of many REC submissions. Joined GMC this weekend and started working on a few lessons which I'm really enjoying. This is my first attempt to video myself, it's really hard to get a good take once you hit record! This post has been edited by skennington: Oct 1 2009, 05:37 PM |

Concerning your playing this take was pretty good, but don't be afraid to pick the strings, they don't bite

I agree that your picking is sometimes weak. Just go for it, don't be affraid. Some notes are barely hearable. The rest is all ok.

The notes are all in place but execution needs more work. Make sure you pick harder next time (don't be afraid of it). Another tip I can give you is related to your bending. When you bend with 3rd finger, make sure you support it with index finger (at least!). It will give you better sound and overall control of the bend.
Congratulations on your 1st REC upload, keep up the good work -------------------- |
