Custom24

Jerry Arcidiacano - C Phrygian Solo - http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...-phrygian-solo/

My first REC program recording. Some obvious mistakes but I just wanted to get a useable take. First recording using Reaper with an SM57.

Gear- (Not worthy of the gear)
* PRS Custom 24 (10 top) - Neck Pickup (Vintage bass)
* Mesa Mark V - Channel 3 - Mark IV mode - 10watt - V-shape GEQ
* MXR Carbon Copy
* On-board Reverb
* Avatar 2x12 Cab - V-30s's

My bad on the original post. Probably should have read the directions.

Hey man, I know this is your first REC upload and I'm glad to see you getting involved with the program. smile.gif If you don't mind, have a read through of the guidelines found HERE We need you to set up a poll so the Instructors can grade your take.

If you are unsure on how to do it, the word Poll is a clickable link that will guide you to a brief tutorial. I could do it for you but that's not going to help you figure it out.. tongue.gif smile.gif

Cheers,
Steve

Edit: Also, could you provide a link to the original lesson

Good take smile.gif
As you wrote, there are some mistakes here and there, as example some notes on the alternate picking runs are not clear.
If you fix these little errors, you can get a perfect take.

Hey! Congrats of your first REC entry! You did a very good job in many parts excepting the fast licks where there are some notes that don't ring. I recomend you to isolate those licks and practice as exercises with metronome. Another thing that would help is to check alternate picking exercises lesson in the GMC archive. Keep you takes coming! wink.gif

Very good take! I think your playing was in general good, but a bit sloppy. Some notes came out weak, and I think you can play tighter than this.
