I see the website and posting from my iPhone actually. Imtrying to view lessons in my iPhone but all I see is white space. I can view YouTube videos fine if it was a flash problem. Anyone knows what i may be missing?

Unfortunately the iphone does not support flash - making both GMC and youtube videos impossible to reach from the phone's web browser. I am assuming you use the built in app to browse youtube? In the future GMC will hopefully have an iphone app as well - that would be very cool! =) (the apps don't use flash instead they load the mp4 file directly into the iphone's player)

Hi Kris,

interestingly I can see YouTube videos from the browser as well. What does that say? Seems to support flash?

Unfortunately when you click a youtube video it doesn't play in the browser - it opens the youtube app that comes with the iphone. You can check this by comparing with how youtube behaves when you use it from a normal computer.

I think the best people to answer that question are all our students - so I am throwing back the question, what would be useful to have in a GMC iphone app?

YouTube reencodes their videos in h.264 for use on mobile devices. That's why you can see YouTube on your iPhone (or Blackberry in my case).

YT recently switched to HTML5 coding, which means the flash player is not needed anymore. HTML5 feature is only supported with Safari and Chrome for now, unfortunately Firefox and FLV coding is not supported yet.
