I already said that in the "gmc hurted my fingers" thread: use moisturizing soap and a rich hand lotion. This will reduce or prevent calluses from getting to hard, but they'll still be hard enough to play guitar without pain.

I used to have horrible skin on my fingers because of too much playing but I never really cared a lot smile.gif Now, after many years, I even see some slight deformations and I still don't care much.

They seem to go in cycles. Sometimes it will feel like I have no calluses at all...then other times they will be rock hard with sharp edges.

My fingers look like Frankenfingers due to playing and biting my nails (and sometimes skin...)..
...and you guessed it, I don't care much biggrin.gif
