I heard about this today and was totally bummed. I knew he had been battling cancer and putting up a gallant fight. Such a terrible loss for rock and roll. I have to classify RJD as the best voice in metal and one of top vocal talents in rock and roll period. The span of his work from Elf, Rainbow, Dio and Black Sabbath is simply awesome. Never forget the first time I heard Man on the Silver Mountain..the combo of Blackmore and Dio just blew me away.

RIP Ronnie.. you will be missed!
