The Interbeing - Edge Of The Obscure, fantastic album at that as well.

Then again, I only buy physical CD's - I am a connoisseur of rotating plastic music discs cool.gif

I bought the newest Cradle of Filth album recently.

It's important to support the music/bands you like!
And I still like to have a physical album in my hands smile.gif

yeah! great thought! I don't think that it's relevant for bands like U2 or Metallica since they did millionaire shows all the time but we have to consider that there are a lot of bands that must be supported by us (the fans) to keep the band playing!

This is true Gab, but you know how it is, CD sales are in rapid decline. The standard of audio has gone up since the 80ties as well, now 44.1KHz@16bit is a bit outdated. The game is changing, and I must confess I'm getting hard to use to it, because I grew up in different time, in time when current music industry was blooming on the platform of physical media sales.

Getting the songs to internet sales is what is important now, and making viral videos and viral songs for internet. I've read about several cases of viral songs bringing a ridiculous fortune and fame to their creators, once they've put them on iTunes or Amazon.

great point Ivan! This is the way to go! It mustn't be so easy to do a viral song but it's the new concept for music business.

Coheed and Cambria...had to get their artwork and lyrics...one of the only bands ( I know Of) to do a full scale Concept series of albums....

And of course Nuno Bettencourts, soloproject Mourning Widows, words can't even express how good those 2 albums are...

I wonder... What is the last physical Cd that you've bought?

Mine is "Chinese Democracy" by GN'R.

It was forever ago, I bought Whoracle and Clayman from In Flames and HeartWork from Carcass. It was right after that when I went digital and have not bought a physical unit since. The demise of physical units is proceeding at pace according to SOUNDSCAN who tracks physical sales. I do miss CDs sometimes, it's cool to have a physical thing with art, linear notes, etc. I bet folks said the same thing as the Vinyl Album was fading. Oddly, Viny is making a bit of a comeback. Although just a fraction of overall sales. Vinyl is up fractionally due to special editions, Dj's, Indie Vinyl releases etc.

The main Demographic for Physical Units/CDs these days in the states is Tween Girls. (Female ages 8-12 give or take). They actually drive a huge chunk of the "Music Business" here in the states. This doesn't make for compelling popular music, however, it does keep the industry afloat.

FOLLOW UP QUESTION.

What was the last NON PHYSICAL UNIT you bought?
