Hi, I just finished recording a new song. It's mostly vocal, so the guitar isn't as interesting other songs I've made, but there's a short solo and the sound quality is better. Tell me what you think...

I changed the tone (made the guitar fuzzier), added a drum track, and tweaked a few things. Is this better or worse? http://soundcloud.com/sentientecho/air-fuzz

I personally like the first version better. The fuzz kind of clouds your nice voice. smile.gif If you like the fuzz, perhaps lower the volume on everything so we can hear your voice - I'm talking about the second version. wink.gif Great job!

Thanks for the feedback -- I guess I didn't pay much attention to the vocals when I was editing it! Here is an updated version, with softer fuzz and louder vocals (I didn't make the drums softer because it's already a little bit hard for me to hear them):

Hopefully this is better...

Well done wink.gif Good writing and performance! Maybe boots the mid/treble on each track so as to make things a bit more distinct, or apply an EQ to the master bus, or your fav plugin for mastering, etc. Just to give some sparkle to the mix. But that's a fairly minor concern on the demo, the important thing is you wrote and performed a really cool track. Well done!
