We use D# diminished in the case of the E major scale I don't quite understand the question Do you want to use the D major chord having an E in the bass?

Ah right, yes its D# dim.
But in the chord progression of my new song, which is in E major, I used a D major chord for example, then a C#/D, G#/A
All makes sense but the D chord. Sounds good, but theoretiacally idk really how it makes sense

Maybe it's in E mixolidian and then you would have the D chord, representing the b7 step of the mixolidian mode. If you harmonize the mode, you will discover the chord is major

Im satisfied with the melodies and structure i can come up with, but as usual I dont come up with any good chords.
My intentions is to do a song in a minor, combining with a harmonic minor.

First thing, would you like to make a structure which you could follow? Intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, middle, chorus?

I think this is a good place to start, once you get things in place in your head, it will be easier to work, rather than just trying to come out with various random parts.

You know, it's easier to come up with things when you have limitations imposed When there's too much freedom, there's also too much confusion and a vast number of options which are always leading to more confusion.

The verse is a quite done, i will do a chorus too and record.

Im kind of happy with the main riff and the phrases. Just got to come up with some better arpeggios, and some cool chorus riff.
Well its an instrumental song, more a melodic one than a riffing song, so the riffs are not supposed to be the coolest you ever heard, but it still needs another good riffing idea I think.

A legato lick. It look like from the video that there is no plektrum used at all in the beginning of the lick.

Hey Erik, indeed, Marco doesn't use any plectrum almost until the end of the phrase - I'll slow it down and see what I can tell you about it

Thanks It seems really hard to get any sound out of it without using the pick.
And its really hard to use a pick the lick is to fast

Got some ideas for the djent collab im kind of happy with I will also try to use som diminished licks.
It was a really nice experience, im glad i saw that collab. It took a while to get use to the track ( never played djent or made a djent solo ) but now I got some things to use

I will tackle the lick on Tuesday when I get back in town, I am leaving to the mountain house. I am having the laptop with me and I will be on the forums to answer stuff, but I will not be having my guitars with me.
