> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Hi Cosmin,I'm Brian from Philippines.Started playing guitar at age 14 now I'm 28.Type of music i play are rock, metal and been messin with blues before.Biggest influence for me is Joe Satriani but can play couple of his songs(the easy ones). I consider myself as an intermediate player. Before i have a band playing just cover songs but when work has dealt with me,i become a bedroom guitarist.I want to improve my technique and improvisational skill(lead, rhythm) in rock and metal music.I want to enjoy practicing my goals because sometimes i get bored and lose my morale.I'm lost what to practice to achieve these goals and i think im in a certain level as a guitar player but i cant move on to the next step.I'm Currently working on Metal Patterns no.1 lesson by Lian Gerbino and will post here as soon I speed things up.Thank you

Hey Brian! This could be perfect! The notes sound out very clean but you are just a WEE BIT behind the tempo - you should try and record somewhere at 80% of the tempo, focusing on being as tight with the drums as possible and then work your way up from there. What say you mu friend - ready to do this? smile.gif

Hey Brian! I can definitely see improvement, although I know you can do better wink.gif let's point out some important aspects:

1) the guitar volume should be higher
2) your timing is still faulty in some spots - can you tap your foot to the ground when playing? It should activate a thing called the internal clock smile.gif it will seem a bit complicated at first, but believe me, it will work wonders on your timing senses biggrin.gif

Should we try one more take? Perhaps even slower?

hey man! It ain't bad smile.gif you're rushing a bit though, so you're ahead of the track in some spots, not too much, but I can feel it. Try to listen to the drums when you are playing and think of each note you play as having a corespondent beat in the drumtrack - the phrasing is composed just like this. You need to gain flow and balance when playing such stuff, k? Let's keep this tempo and try to obtain the groove biggrin.gif

As for recommendations, let's try these two:

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/neocla..._for_beginners/ very good for phrasing and tone control!

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Him-Style-Love-Metal/ - this one will help you work on growing a groove and constant down picking is also important!

what do you think, are these two ok for you?

Hey there mate! biggrin.gif I see good progress with the Metal Patterns - this is by far the tightest take! You are 97% there biggrin.gif I think you can start speeding up now but focus on the flow and groove ok? smile.gif The Love metal lesson has some timing issues here and there, it's the same like the Metal Pattern lesson. Man, you have to focus more and more on listening to the drums and keeping a tight rhythm, k?

Let's try 85percent with the Metal Patterns and 80percent with the love metal?

Let me know how it goes wink.gif

Hey man! I want to congratulate you for the metal patterns as I can clearly feel your improvement but the timing in the rhythm lesson with HIM is a bit shaky. Try to internalize the groove and stick to it at an even slower pace smile.gif it worked for the metal patterns so it will work fir the HIM style leson as well biggrin.gif

Bear with me!
