Hey man, no rush Cosmin hey! well nothing is unclear about the lesson, but i'm strugling with part two, having some trouble with alternate picking, but thats also because of my strings. i have uncoated strings, and a friend of mine has coated, and with his guitar everything seems so much simpler! can you advise to take coated strings, or go through it the hard way? yeah another lesson would be great:D! something to do when im not trying to nail alternate picking haha! so what im working on now is alternate picking, but also the overal timing an tightness of playing, maybe it is not much but i didnt know where to start myself so:P haha suggestions are more than welcome! maybe a sepperate lesson for that, without the alternate picking so i can focus on both without having to pick the same all day -Daniel This post has been edited by Poesmij: Mar 29 2012, 10:46 AM -------------------- “Experience: that most brutal of teachers. Hey mate! Check this out, a lesson which deals with tightness would be this one
http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Metal-Metrics-4/ About the coated strings - I love them, but they are not the key to becoming a faster and cleaner alternate picker what do you think about the riffing/ tightness lesson? Cosmin yes thats an awsome riff! will take that on! allready started out on it a little so! nice new lesson you posted! really awsome those metal metric series! and really nice to see you get your inspiration from the same bands as i do. august burns red is awsome! but about the strings, its more that im finding out whats right for me^^ cause when i play with my friends guitar, everything seems so much simpler! (without losing quality!) so now finding out what i think is right for me what do you use? and what thickness of strings do you recommend for drop c tunings? read that it had to be at least 010 to 046 looking forward to what you suggest! -Daniel -------------------- “Experience: that most brutal of teachers. Hey Daniel!
for drop C I am using 11-54 Elixir strings, you can also go for 10-52 so that you cna switch between drop C, drop C# and drop D pretty easily what tensions and brand are you currently using? Cosmin -------------------- My music:

hey!
sorry for my very late response, had a little surgery, nothing bad, but still:) anyway, i used 010 to 052 from ernyball coated slinky, they werent bad or anything, but i have thin fingers. and my left hand really began to hurt after playing for just an hour. so now i have dunlop zakk wylde heavy core strings 010 to 046 a little bit to thin maybe for drop c, but it still works, and i can now play without getting an infection in my left hand( yeah got that from my mom ) need to train my hands a bit more and slowly build my way up to thicker strings. ok a little question, in metal metrics 1 from 0.30 seconds, that part going for low to that high scream thing, is that called something? i just love the effect of that! can you write down some more of those chords? will be playing more guitar soon, as soon as my head is healed again greets! -------------------- “Experience: that most brutal of teachers. hey man, hope you'll be healing up fast!
Well, those sort of chords imply flat second intervals In another context you can see this chord: xx17171713 which can be though upon as a voicing of the C major chord with an added 11th - see, the flat second interval is not so dissonant now that it is in another context what do you think? Hey mate, it could be a good idea, so I'll think about a good way to illustrate it in a new lesson

Alrighty, let's see something lead and a bit metal oriented
http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Southern_Metal_Solo/ this one has got a lot of groove in it so it's both rhythm and lead developing what do you think? Cosmin -------------------- My music:
