Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi, Practicing Bens Bushido class lesson. I noted the last bending was off and forgot to check my tuning. Something really sounds off, not sure what. :) Thanks, Chandra

Well played! I do think there is either a tuning isssue or a intonation issue that is throwing off the overal sound. But your fingering is quite good as is your vibrato. Great overall control as well. Nice!

You did a good job! Nice sound and vibrato! When you are playing fast licks it sounds out of time and makes it fall apart!
I would suggest to practice it more using a metronome! It will help you a lot! Also your guitar is out of tune! I am not sure if it's intonation or just a simple tuning! You can check if it's correct using a tuner open string should sound the same as harmonic on 12 fret if it's off you need to have it setup!

Hi Chandra! I agree with Todd - your take is pulled down because of the tuning issue sad.gif it would be a shame to let it go like this, so I suggest you to take another shot at this with the axe properly set for recording wink.gif

Your timing could also be improved in the fast parts but the control on the articulation is pretty good man!

Nice sounding take! I agree with the other instructor's comments. I really like your tone, but the take need some little technique adjustment. I can notice that you have problems with the fast alternate picking licks. You should work on some exercises to master those licks.
By the way it's a good take. Work on the things that the other guys suggested and you'll get a flawless take.
