I thought this was an interesting direction in audio research today when I ran across a guy from the Netherlands who has created some free Mac/PC software that auto generates Melody, or drum bits, etc. It doesn't write killer music so that you don't have to, it just uses algorithms to make chunks of musical stuff. But it's really fun and I gotta say some of the patterns gave me ideas for licks, rythms, etc.

This is very interesting software. I believe I will abuse it during my composition hour tonight.
