Hello guys!!! This is the final mix and comments! I really enjoyed mixing this one because everybody entried relly good takes that fit perfectly over this backing track. Well done everybody!!!
This is the mix:
Bucket_Final_Mix.mp3 ( 13.39MB )
Number of downloads: 64Casinostrat: Your take has a nice feeling, and I think that the style fits perfect with the backing track. You used differen notes values and rhythm in your phrasing, and that makes your solo really funny to hear. Every new part that appears sounds cooler and more dramatic than the previous, you did a good job with the evolution of your solo. Your tone would need a bit more trebble to sound clearer, I added those frequencies in the mix, but it’s always better to get that sound from your amp. Keep on the good job! Hungry for heaven: Nice take man. You sound like the pro in this solo mate. You recorded an epic solo that sounds for moments like Buckethead and sometimes like the most epic side of Maiden. Your phrasing is perfect for my taste and I feel that your guitar is talking... and crying in some moments. I like your tone in this one, but you could also add more presence or high mids to make it sound clearer. Well done mate! Marcost: Hi man! Your take sounds good over the backing. Every note is in scale and technically you played it perfectly. Your tone also fits great over the track. I think that the first section has too many long notes and that makes me lose the attention after the first 20/25 seconds. You could add more rhythm variations to your phrasing in the first part. The second part (the chorus) has the same problem but it becomes more interesting thanks to those rocker bends that makes the solo very dramatic. Thanks for your take mate! Opetholic: Hi mate! It’s a cool desicion to start this solo with a clean tone. I like your first phrases on this one but after some rounds I think that the solo becomes a bit repetitive. I would develope that first ide a bit more to make the clean section more interesting. The distorted section sounds a bit more interesting but I also believe that it becomes a bit repetitive after some phrases. I believe that you have good initial ideas but that you have to work on them a bit more to create a more attractive solo. WeePee: Hi man! I like your solo, is has many rhythm variations without loosing the melodic ideas flow. I like how you combined some more classic moments with some other more inspired by Buckethead fresh way of creating melodies. Your tone fits perfectly over tha backing track and your technique is perfect. Well done! Zoot: Hi Zoot! Thanks for being part of this collab. You solo idea is cool, and sounds interesting and fresh to me. You used different rhythms which makes your phrasing more fun to me. There are some bends that are a bit out of pitch, so pay attention to this technique. Your tone sounds great! Keep on rocking! SpaseMoonkey: Your solo sounds very fresh to me. I like the two guitars idea in the begining, you remind me a bit to Mattias Eklundh. Even your tone sounds close to him. You repeated te same idea many times but you changed the way of playing it or added that second guitar harmonizing, the use of panning, and those type of things made the solo funny by the way. Good Job!! This post has been edited by Gabriel Leopardi: Jun 7 2012, 08:52 PM -------------------- Visit my Personal Board

Much thanks for the kind words sir.
I really enjoyed the collab as well. With all my work towards bending and vibrato, I felt whats a better way to improve on it than to use it. The idea for the harmonizing you hit spot on with how I felt. I was doing something so simple and played in a similar fashion that it needed something more to make it "pop". -------------------- Guitar:
