I am looking forward to start mentoring you! This will be fun! My goals on the site are to be able to shred , and become a much more technical player . My weakness is speed, phrasing , lack of full performable repertoire Strongest in musicality, making things sound as musical as I can, improvisation is decent Favorite guitarists: jack thammarat, andy Timmons , Stevie ray Vaughan, Steve vai, Eric Johnson , joe bonamassa Steffen schackinger |

I am glad to have you on board! To start I would like you to work on your hands coordination! We need to get them synced together! Usually right hand is fine and the left hand is the trouble one! I have a perfect exercise that will do the trick! Here is the tab:
Guitar Pro
Hands_workout.gp5 ( 4.5K )
Number of downloads: 21Practice it at a very slow tempo with a metronome! You will se results very fast! Let me know if you have any questions or need help! -------------------- |

Thanks Alex ! So how long do I stick to this exercise? And do I record myself doing it or something ? Cheers! That would be awesome if you can record yourself playing it! This way I can see your progress! You can let me know when you are ready and either do a recording of yourself or just let me know and I will post a new assignment for you! -------------------- |

The thing about this exercise is slower you do it better results you will get! You don't have to bring it up to 115 or 120 BPM Just do it at a comfortable tempo even if it's 10BPM doesn't matter as long as you are doing it the right way! I am looking forward to hear your take! -------------------- |

Here is the backing track I would like you to use to practice! http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/withguitar It's a minor blues The chord changes are: Ami7 - Dmi7 - Ami7 - Emi7 - Dmi7 - Ami7 I have a really good exercise that will help you develop your own style! I want you to start creating your own licks! To start we will use A minor blues pentatonic in 3 positions: ![]() ![]() ![]() You can use any notes from those positions !Try to combine them together and turn them into short licks!
