This kind of stuff has always interested me, (Lockness Monster, Bigfoot, etc.) but this is one case where I think they are a little overzealous in trying to discover something new and exciting. I admit it looks a whole lot like the thing they found in Mountauk. The article says the ones who found it think its either a rat or a dog. I can't quite see a rat, but I could possibly go with the dog, except to me at least the mouth isn't quite right.

Probably is a dog that's been bloated and messed up by the water.
