Well - than we'll have to find an instructor that likes Dimebag, and listens to his music a lot and can actually make a goon "In Style Of" lesson. smile.gif

Dimebag was alright, but his stuff's been overhyped since his death to the point where he's become a martyr for shredding or something, personally I dont see what the big deal is but there seems to be an over-worshiping of the dude .

There are loads of band with awesome riffs out there so i don't see what's so special about Dimebag's riffs. unsure.gif Personally Rusty Cooley and Outworld have much more powerful songs than Dimebag IMO.

The thing i like about dime was he had a big heart and he was just a normal, down to earth guy. fame never got to him, he always remembered where he came from. If I ever get into the music business (god Help me), i hope it never goes to my head either. but anyway, Signed, Colin Kauffman

Definitely signed.

Dimebag's solo style was actually, really really based off of EVH's solo style. Quick short patterns, long finger stretches that move toward and away from the guitar nut. There are a bunch of similarities between them. Great players.

It was a guy with a history of mental disturbances, he ended up thinking that the band was reading his mind and laughing at him, so he snaps and shoots a bunch of people including Dimebag in the back of the head a couple times IIRC.

I would love for this lesson, dime is a great guitarist, I started listening to Pantera about 2 1/2 years before he died. when he dies, it really hit me, i was a big fan of Dime, ill be honest and say i cried. I know alot of people say he is the best ever because of his death and the memorials surrounding it in magazines and such. But i really do love this guy, he is one of my favorites, i loved him so much because of his personality and the inspiration he could give me by just sayin "Rip it man!!!" it was great to hear,

But in all honestly, he is probably one of the single greatest riff writers off all time

RIP DIME.
