Can some of the instructors record a video of them playing from behind so I can see their thumb position and movement as they play along and across the neck.
I think I've found the source of some of my left hand tension and it stems to my thumb. I'll also do the same this weekend so you can critique and help. -------------------- My SoundCloud

That was really helpful, my thumb position resemble yours a lot of the time. Maybe it's less of a problem than I thought.
I've been trying to make my thumb at right angles to the neck all the time rather than letting it go almost parallel, but I see your thumb does the same. -------------------- My SoundCloud

Hey man
 The thumb can have various positions, in respect to what you are playing, so if you could be more specific, at what point does the tension occur?

It maybe more in my imagination when thinking that my thumb position didn't look right. Although I have notice my thumb does drag a little when I move up the neck, which is something I'm working on.
