I like your voice and I think it's awesome that you made this step It will be great if you will explore this side.

I felt in your voice that you had emotions to sing the song but it's a normal thing You need to have more confidence in what you can do with your voice.
I don't know many tips and tricks (beside practice, practice, practice) but from my point of view, I think the key for a good result is to know exactly which is your vocal range. You can make some exercises for this by singing scales, starting with the lowest note you can clearly sing and continuing until you aren't able to hit a higher note. This will always help you to know exactly which songs are suitable for your voice.

As an conclusion, it was great to hear your voice and I hardly wait to hear a new song from you
