when using you left to play hybrid picking licks (say the ones on your ug lesson) do you always use down strokes or can you alternate pick with some licks only?

I always use downstrokes - but if one wanted to puch the speed envelope even further - going alternate would probably be a good idea! (beginners note that this is just regarding "hybrid picking" not picking in general). -------------------- I do not have any natural talent at all - you can beat me with hard work.
