you guys would know more than me, cuz ive only been playing for a few months but this guy seems legitimate. Anyone think they can go faster? his fingers seem to float around the fretboard... and how long do you think it would take to develop that kind of speed? -------------------- |

He's pretty fast. Have you checked out Hisham's lessons though? Hisham is superfast and has great structure with his playing. We should see if we can get him to do a lesson going as fast as he can. I bet he would blow that dude out of the water? I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for the post.

Idk.. it seems.. fake.. like sped up maybe.. it just doesn't seem humanly possible.. lets get the shred expert Pavel in here to do a video analysis.. you don't need pavel. just download one of these guys, convert it to mp3, and then run it though slowdowner. one is much less impressed after that. -------------------- ![]() |

I highly doubt on my death bed i will say "gee, I wish I has listened to that fast speed picker when I had the chance". -------------------- ![]() |

Everyone knows the fastest guitarist is Skuissgar. I define it as the guy who is fastest and also musical. There would be argument, but Batio would be a contender. I am not sure if Gilbert is as fast. But Gilbert can play at 140bpm, and still he is playing faster than these guys who think they are playing 58 notes a second. Fast crap don't count. -------------------- ![]() |

I am the fastest guitarist in the world.
That is to say, I can play the opening riff of Enter Sandman while running down the street at thirty miles an hour which personally I think is more impressive than the guy in the video |

I'm a guitarist and one time I drove my car like 103 miles per hour. CHAMPION!! This is ridiculous lol. |

This was my opinion aswell.Like in this video the dude was doing very fast swep motions along with throwing in some tapps but it wasent really musical.Sounded more like an atarii game on Crack. No doubt the guitarist is good but i think this is a area were a guitarist looses skill due to speed obsession -------------------- My Gear

His sweeps are really crazy, but his AP sucks. He doesn't hit one note while AP so he's not a real shredder like Rusty or Fareri. -------------------- "It isn't how many years you have been playing, it's how many hours." -- Prashant Aswani "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!" -- Michael Angelo Batio Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |

His sweeps are really crazy, but his AP sucks. He doesn't hit one note while AP so he's not a real shredder like Rusty or Fareri. And even these sweeps aren't well accurate imho, would be nice to slow it down if possible, probably 3 of 10 notes are played, rest of it is raking. -------------------- Youtube

Interesting topic, but I think when your becomeing uberfast it is only of use if you can still be musical in the process !!
