Hello GuitarMasterFriends, ehem... today I'm gonna talk about what will be my future in next year, but first of all I explain my actual situation.
Well, now I'm 26 and I spent 5 years studing Farmacy in the University. I ended my studies last May and I started to work in the farmacy of my mother. Well, I passed all my live thinking that music would be ONLY a hobbie, so thats the reason because I decided to study in the University, but nowadays I think I can work in the thing that I LOVE: music. Last month I knew a keyboard player who has an orchestra and he offered me to take part in. That was my dilemma, now I'm too busy, I'm working from 9 to 14 and from 17 to 20,30 but this project is the oportunity that I never been searching because I thought it was no possible. It's not a great orchestra, but it's a good job (I like it) and I can get some moneywith it, and with my guitar classes (now I have 3 students, but I hope they will be some more), and with the money that I get in this site with my lessons I think I can get enoght salary to pay the renting and the food, hehe. So after thinking a lot I decide to left my job and work ONLY in music !!! As you can see it's a really important decision because I know I will have a really good salary in the farmacy (and don't forget that in few years it would be mine). And if I left this job is probable that my mother sells the farmacy, so it's a bit "dramatic"... but I think I MUST try to get my dream and I don't need too much money, I need my ilusions, I need my dreams, I need my music. My decision is to work hard in farmacy during January and maybe February to get some money and then left the job Well, that's my tale, hehe, I wish I have a happy end !!! but I need to try it What do you think ????? This is great news, Juan!
Even though you'll get more money out of working in the pharmacy, you have the abillity to pursue a musical carreer and that really is amazing. I wish you good luck with it, and I'm sure it will go well. -------------------- |

If theres any hope of survival in your current situation to just go out and live out your music dreams, I would say go for it. A pharmacy could make you a lot of money, but in the end, will that make you happy? I would say shoot for the moon and if all else fails, you'll land on the stars. If music makes you happy, I would go for it.

Juan you are one crazy man
Congrats on your decision but still, try to keep your family in good relationship as even music is not worth breaking with those who are closest to us. Keep us informed on your progress and good luck m8! -------------------- "It isn't how many years you have been playing, it's how many hours." -- Prashant Aswani "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!" -- Michael Angelo Batio Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |
