Strumming help?

Hey All,

I'm only a few days old on this site, so pardon me if this is dumb. But I have an Acoustic/Electric Fender, and I am seem to just kinda suck with strumming patterns, and i'm looking for some help. I've hit the search button quite a few times, and I havn't found a video lesson to help either.

I've found all sorts of practices for fingering, bending, hammering,.... but nothing for strumming patterns.

Right now i'm trying to get two songs down. Pink Floyd's - Mother, and Indigo Girls - Closer To Fine.

Hey All,

Just giving my regards from USA-Maryland. I've been tinkering for a year or so on the guitar, and finally starting to set aside some real time to get better.

I'm going to throw a post up soon, as I'm really looking for some help with strumming. I've got an Acoustic Fender, and i just really suck at strumming patterns so far. I think i need something that starts off slow, and works up.

Right now I'm trying to get the strumming pattern down for Pink Floyd's - Mother, and Indigo Girls - Closer to Fine.

PS - I'm fairly impressed with the site, Little hard to navigate, but i'm still excited to get in.
