Interests
I've been playing for 23 years now I think, Metallica got me interested, from there it became slayer, pantera, sepultura, morbid angel, deicide and too many other death metal bands to mention. Then I found classical guitar which led to flamenco and folk. I started teaching when I left high school in 1993 through to 2000, then went into construction work until 2008, now I'm back into teaching and I have around 70 students every week. I love guitar and most types of music. I live it, I breath it I love it.

Hey there everyone, could someone please buy this before I do, I don't need it but when I walk past it every day and think HOW MUCH?????? and just want to buy it. It is a beautiful guitar, Cort Neil Zaza nt-2 with birdseye maple fretboard on a raw maple neck and a THICK chunk of flame maple top, this thing just sings.
So please help me out because my wife will kill me if I buy another guitar and this is just so tempting. peace out http://shakeitupmusic.org/index.php?main_p...roducts_id=1247

Yes I'm a bit obsessed with these guys, their technique and riff construction is second to none.

hey everyone,
I went to the soundwave festival in Brisbane on saturday. It was an awesome day, I finally got to see Metallica, they are the band that made me pick up a guitar back in 1989 and I now make a living from playing the guitar so I feel I owe them a big thanks. Slayer, Anthrax, Paramore, Periphery, and Linkin park were some of the other bands that played as well but the band that stood out the most was Sylosis. I don't know if any of you have heard of these guys but when I first heard their riffs and solo's I thought, how are they going to perform that live. They are a melodic thrash metal band from the UK and they have some awesome chunky palm muted rhythms and amazing sweep/tapping solos. They pulled it off live!!!!! I thought it was going to be a little sloppy at least but no. They were super tight, didn't miss a single note. Sadly there were only about 100 people at their stage which is not many when there were 50000 at the festival. I really hope that people give these guys a good listen as to me they are the best band that I have heard in a long time. Here is one of their songs Empyreal played live at some other venue, I was too busy picking my jaw off the ground to get any footage PS: there is some swearing at the start. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MKvd_7ufhM

Hey there fellow guitarists,
I've been a bit inactive here lately so I thought I'd better pop in and see how everyone is doing. Well I'm back at work teaching and coming up with ideas and lesson for my students and I made another recording that I thought I might share with you guys. Let me know what you think of it. cheers. I have a gorgeous amp that is excess to my needs but I'm finding it hard to let it go, someone has just inquired about it and now I'm torn as I think it can become a collectors piece and I could give it to my son when he gets to high school. My wife wants it gone but but but ........ You know. The money would be handy but I would be losing as I paid more for it than I'm trying to sell it for......aaaargh.......
What do you guys think? |
