I really feel like learning some new guitar solos
I am a beginner-intermediate player and I'm looking for some moderatley paced hard rock/ heavy metal solos (sorry if this is beginng to sound like a personal ad No slow solos, but nothing super fast paced and shredaholic either Thanks =) -Manny

I just bought a Schecter Hellraiser w/ Floyd Rose (which I absolutley love) and I'm looking for a new amp to destroy... I mean play
The Hellraiser has super high- gain active EMGs for metalheads like me, so I'm looking for something that can get some good crunch, but also has a decent clean channel. My budget is a max of $600, so i'm thinking of a tube combo or something. Effects are completely non- essential, but some nice overdrive would be awesome. Thanks

I'm not very into death metal, but I'm surprised to see that we don't have a Children of Bodom style lesson.
I think a lesson in the style of Alexi Laiho would be awesome, as he is a very unique guitarist.

I torn between a Jackson DK2M Dinky, which is a great guitar, and the Dean Vendetta 4.0 w/ Floyd Rose which has a neck- thru for just $30 more.
Wichever one I get, I plan on fitting it with Seymour Duncan Blackout hmbuckers. Advice on picking one? Also, how much better of would I be with a neck- thru than a bolt on for metal soloing? Does it make a huge differance? I have been drooling over new axes for months, so if you have any other AMAZING suggestions for metal guitars, feel free to toss em' my way Thanks!!! |
