Introduction To Me

Hey guys, my name is Aaron. I'm 22 and i've been playing guitar for nearly 5 years now. I've been here on guitarmasterclass in the past but life got in the way and i was never really able to stay signed up for very long.

Anyway, these days I find myself lacking motivation and inspiration to play, and i actually nearly considered changing to drums (as i love hitting them (lol) Anyway, I decided to join up again to try and reignite my passion for guitar. I think my problem stems from being stuck in a rut. it's like i've been on some big plateau for the past few years and because of this i think i've just gradually became frustrated with my lack of progress. Frustration is never good either because let's face it, guitar is supposed to be fun so yeah looking forward to getting stuck into some lessons and hopefully make some much needed progress! thanks for reading!

Zoom Gfx 8, How Do I Record With I?

Hi all, im kinda new here Before i start asking my newbie question, just wanna say how much this site is helping my playing... ok now that the sucking up is finished. let me begin

I have a ZOOM GFX8 multieffects unit, its great. i don't play through an amp, i play directly through this with headphones, or have it connected to my big set of speakers. sounds great either way.

My question is, how do i record with it. My preferance would be to be able to record it through my computer. Do i have to buy a MIDI soundcard.. like... http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Audi...e2496-main.html

Once i have that, i heard that MIDI does not record any sound, it just sends date. so how exactly do i record its sound?

I stress, i really want to be able to record my ZOOM's sound, not add effects to it with editing software. THanks for your time. Im a big newb and know very little when it comes to recoridng, which im sure is obvious due to this post
