Problems With Mac (pod Xt)

So well i tried to record some playing today with my brand new imac. Well it didn't go as I expected I plugged my guitar to my pod xt and then pod xt to imac using usb-2. And well it sounded kinda like this. (File below) I have newest drivers etc. Can anyone help me to get a clue from where to start troubleshooting. Otherwise my mac works well Itunes work as it should no other problems with sound

Picks Lost...

Well I was looking for my favourite guitar pick (picture under) and when I finally found it I wasn't looking for it anymore. Quess where I found it ?? Well I was going to copy one of my new bought CD:s to my Itunes then when I opened my CD-drive quess what was inside My lovely guitar pick I have no idea at all how it had gotten there but well things happen for a reason so when I picked up my pick I had an inspiration on one of my new songs which you will hear as soon as I get my iMac and can start recording with it . I was wondering what is the most unbelievable stupid place where you have found your pick(s) ??? ofc a little story how you found is always nice

Using Imac For Recording

So I have finally had enough of our lovely Windows and it's problems so I have decided to buy an iMac but well I'm pretty new with Mac:s so i was wondering if anyone has any personal experience about recording guitar with Mac and making backing tracks etc. I have a Line 6 Pod XT as my main recording gear. I'm a bit confused right now so can somebody enlighten me
