ok, I just have found out that I am a hardcore cheater on alternate picking and am actually economy picking all the time...at least if i have understood the topic well.
if i got it right, economy picking is same as alternate picking but you "cheat" sometimes for example: you do two downpickings when going to the next string. right?
now, I will have to start learning alternate picking for real i guess, butt.....
when playing a solo or some lick should i always use alternate picking?? or is economy picking fine sometimes?? (except for the downstroke only licks and rifs ofcourse )

Economy is fine for some licks to be honest
but I would focus on alternate if I were you,
it's mother of ALL picking and later on you can try many others,
but let alternate be your base,from now on.
