Hey Kris,

Dude this website is the best on the planet, my girlfriend literally has to pull me away from the computer screen. Everything about it is great especially the collaborations! This brings me to my point, I'm a guitar player and many of my friends are. I have this tool and they do not. They need it =)

Have you ever considered a referral program? For instance, an existing paying member signs someone up for say 3 months for 30 bucks, I the referrer gets say 1 month free or something....This will work well for you because: it generates incentive for existing members to expand GMC which in turn increases revenue. This is a form of free advertising by word of mouth which studys indicate is ALWAYS the most effective.

You could have some sort of algorithm that generates unique codes. After you sucessfully sign up a new member the unique code is generated and emailed to the member who signed up a new person. The unique code could be redeemed on the website to get sign up bonus's.

This idea is similar to how amazon.com works, I have a amazon.com credit card every once in a while as a bonus for using their card they'll send me a unique code that I can redeem on their website for 25 dollars.

It's just a suggestion, I'm a software engineer by trade so I figured I'd offer this idea to you guys...let me know if you think it's viable.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Hey Jonathan - thanks for the great suggestion and sorry for the delay!

This is a request I have got quite often (especially from other guitar sites, oddly enough!) - it is a good idea and I think this could bring some extra bucks to the site!

However - we are currently obsessed with making this the coolest guitar site ever and that is why I haven't given this kind of thing the highest priority - but we will have it for sure! smile.gif
