Hey simon!
Don't mean to butt in on Kris's page, but I thought I just post some recommendations.
I highly recommend Pavel's lesson on Legato. This will definetly strengthen your left hand. My legato sucked, and within a week I'm seeing improvement with this lesson. I know it says 6 out of 10 difficulty, but try it out. I was a complete noob, but take it slow, and it's not too hard. Don't be discouraged.
Follow his instructions CAREFULLY, and PRACTICE SLOWLY (ESSENTIAL)

David -
http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...c-minor-lesson/David's will teach you a scale to use, that's a pretty common scale. Good place to start I think. Although, you probably should start with the Major scale.
Gabriel -

Good luck, mate
Cheers!
