Hi Kristofer

One of my new years resolutions is, that I want to get introduced to the world of guitar solos. However iīm mostly self taught, so I donīt know any scales. Can you recommend some lessons for me?

I feel my left hand is a bit weak and slow. I need some legato hammer-on pull-off exercises. Can you recommend some lessons for me?

I want to make a daily guitar workout, consisting of all the things you need, to become a great player. Can you give me any advices cool.gif on how to do that?

Best regards and a happy new year

Simon

Hey simon!
Don't mean to butt in on Kris's page, but I thought I just post some recommendations.
I highly recommend Pavel's lesson on Legato. This will definetly strengthen your left hand. My legato sucked, and within a week I'm seeing improvement with this lesson. I know it says 6 out of 10 difficulty, but try it out. I was a complete noob, but take it slow, and it's not too hard. Don't be discouraged.
Follow his instructions CAREFULLY, and PRACTICE SLOWLY (ESSENTIAL)

As for soloing, I recommend David Walliman's lessons, or Gabriel Leopardi's lessons.

David - http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...c-minor-lesson/
David's will teach you a scale to use, that's a pretty common scale. Good place to start I think. Although, you probably should start with the Major scale.

Gabriel - http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...c-rock-cliches/
Gabriel's will give you some licks to try out. Don't forget to use the backing tracks.

Good luck, mate
Cheers!
